Children's & Youth Ministry
Melissa Thayer Joined the staff of Calvary in July, 2002.
She serves as Director of Children's and Youth Ministries.
Among these ministries are:
The Junior/Senior High Youth Group, Childreen's and Teen Sunday School,
the Church nursery, and Faith Weavers (our club for grade school children).
Each of these ministries are staffed by capable, enthusiastic workers who,
in many cases, have felt a call to serve God in these particular areas.
Melissa is the wife of Calvary Pastor, Steve Thayer. They have three children
two in college and one in high school. Over the years she has served in various
children's ministries including teaching Sunday School and Vacation Bible
School, leading Bible clubs, and partnering with her husband to lead Christian
day camps for the grade school children. She has also been a small group
leader for adults. Previously, Melissa worked as a homebound tutor for the
Enfield Public Schools and taught upper elementary grades in two Christian
schools, Enfield Christian School and Trinity Christian School in Windsor.
